We have read through hundreds of threads relating to Cornwall and our heads are spinning.
We are a couple looking for a very smart campsite, the closer to a lovely beach the better, which is walkable to a village/town for evening drinks/food.
Our preference has been somewhere along the north coast from Padstow down to St Ives.
As long as the site has good toilet/shower facilities, we are open to ideas. We do not have dogs or kids to worry about.
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When camping in a tent, my wife likes it erect ASAP but when camping in the Cali, my wife likes it up nice and smooth.

Caravan Club Godrevy site. It's a walk through the dunes to the beach, pub down the road, cafes (some v. good) near the beach and Hayle and it's shops etc just down the road.
Nice camp site with lovely views at dennis Cove padstow, walkable, easily to the harbour and close to Camel Trail if you wanted to do biklie rides. The padstow beach is about 25 minutes walk away and other beaches short drives away. Cross on foot ferry and you're in Rock with lovely sandy beachs and walk round to Daymer Bay for more of same.can't go wrong!

We have managed to book St Ives Holiday Bay which wasn't where we wanted but everywhere else is booked solid.
We are not surprised as we left it late.
Bit nervous because it sounds like a very noisy camp site taylored for kids but it was either book this place or have no holiday

Can i just add we have just returned from the Haven site at Perran Sands and all the negative comments about this site were not in evidence for the fortnight that i was there. Its not really walking distance to Perranporth centre but a couple of minutes in the car/ taxi. You can walk to the beach which is a little walk of about 6minutes or so evrything is on site and although geared towards kids/families you cant really hear the club etc and the security did keep the noise down to a dull roar after 10pm.
If you want pics/video drop me a mail and i'll send them

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1098 Gwithian Fam. We're booked on this site next week & it sounds like everything you want. The beach is very close (across some fields) & the village pub is nearby (& looks great). Not sure if they'd have vacancies but you could try.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
