Hi,

Can anyone advise on the best place for a one night stopover from Lancs to Devon.

We would prefer a CC site but not sure where to stop.....any suggestion welcome.....as OH not sure he want to do it all in one go setting off in the middle of the night.

Is this one any good? You can get onto the M5 by going through Kidderminster.

Tewkesbury abbey caravan club site is about 5 miles off M5 junction 9, Would be about half way??

Alternatively there is a caravan club CL off M5 at junction 4, (Bromsgrove) its in Woodrow Lane Catshill, about a minute from the motorway, Not sure if it has electric but for 1 night shouldn't matter.

When we've done it in the opposite direction, ie Cornwall to North, we've used both the Tewkesbury CC site and Broadway CC site.  Both sites are fantastic and not far from the motorway.

           We just go to Devon in one go its easily done in the day.

When are you thinking of going? Don't think Tewkesbury is open all year, though I could be wrong. It's a really good site and excellent location.

Briarfields near Cheltenham is also easy to get to, and a nice friendly site. There are reviews on here, but I don't know how to post a link!

We stay here when travelling from Somerset up north, have done so for the last few years and will be doing so again in October. Its open all year.
