I'm looking for a campsite thats somewhere near the Go Ape site in Cannock Chase ... I don't know the area so I'm not sure which towns I should be searching for and STAFFORDSHIRE is a bit vague for me to commit to just picking a site and hoping for the best.

Any suggestions?

We'd prefer something thats not as formal as the one site that I can find with the search button for CANNOCK CHASE we don't mind the Caravan and Camping Club but not one that won't let us have a kick around and a sing song if we fancy it.

Any advice gratefully recieved.

Thanks

I think you are looking for the tackeroo campsite, its near rugely on cannock chase, its on ukcs, there is another apart from the c&cc site, its behind a cafe on the chase, but I don,nt know the name of it, if I,m there over the next couple of days will have a look, as we go quite a lot to walk the dog.  Penny

c&cc Club site is a bout a mile away

Spring slade cafe has camping which is possibly  a few miles away

http://www.springsladelodge.co.uk/

Tackeroo is possibly the nearest a short 3 min drive but no camping caravans only

Pillaton is the best site in the area probably 10mins drive from go ape. Very relaxed site as long as you are not disturbing anyone else you can pretty much do as you please. There is plenty of room for a kick around.PILLATON HALL FARM
