I'm in desperate need of finding a site for a short camping weekend for a mixed sex group of six people in July.
As what we are looking for is quite specific we are extremely flexible on the location although Devon and Wales would be great options.
We were considering "Wild Camping" in a suitable area but it's proving difficult without actually scouting the area ourselves. We require somewhere that would permit us to have a small fire and the freedom to talk and perhaps play a guitar into the night. Basically a relaxing trip between friends in their mid to late twentys.
We certainly do not want to ruin anyone elses camping trip by talking into the wee hours of the morning so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are also not concerned with about facilities and would certainly consider ourselves to be considerate of the land and how to clean up after ourselves.
We currently live in Glossop in Derbyshire and wouldnt mind getting out of the area for a change of scenery (even though the surrounding area itself is quite beautiful)
I thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have.

I would look at Burnbake near Swanage perhaps? Wild camping is virtually impossible, there are areas of Dartmoor that allow it but the criteria is very strict and fires are not normally acceptable for obvious reasons.
I guess I'm in the same boat, myself and my partner like to spend time up in the Yorkshire Dales walking and camping. Planning to go to Dorset with a couple of friends in the summer.
I generally find that if you book seperatly and they try to turn up at the same time you can normally get pitched together. If you mention a group when you call to book I doubt you'll get in anywhere. I guess if you can prove yourself on the first night most proprietors wont be bothered at all.
Its such a shame that some groups of "lager louts' spoil it for the majority of people who just want to relax in the countryside with friends :(
If anyone knows a decent site around Lulworth that would be good!

I've been informaed by a friend that Rhosneigr would be a good place to go in Anglesey. As a location do you think this would suit our needs?
I'm not sure exactly which campsite it was but apparently there is a field free specifically for more lively campers and it's also quite close to the beach.
