Does anyone know of a site within easy reach of Southampton where we could set up our touring caravan permanently during spring/summer and then store please? Ill health means we can no longer tour, but would like to make good use of the van for regular weekends / holidays. Only need very basic facilities, ie just toilets and a tap!

We haven't camped here yet but we did go for a wander around and think its lovely. We chatted to several people who use it as their regular retreat - its very quiet out of the main season and I expect now that they have a family area it will get a bit busier but I think the family area is tucked away at the back.
Its only about 20 minutes from Southampton so could be perfect for you,
Try the Kingfisher campsite in Gosport, they have stored. they are about 20 miles away, close to the coast, with hard standing. I wes there under canvus a couple of month a go.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
