I am hoping for some good advice - We usually go camping in Dorset (and will be later in the year as it is our favourite part of the country) But for a nice week off at the beginning of June I am thinking of trying the Gower coast....
When camping we like:
peace and quiet - No clubs or pubs on site (but some in VERY close walking distance)
Close to a beach
Dogs allowed
Showers and toilets on site
Close drive to shops
Amazing views... and of course reasonably priced - We have a Coleman Weathermaster XL and somewhere without regimented pitchs would also be a bonus... I know I can search on here - but always after a good recommendation
Can anyone recommend a good site?

Looking forward to summer 2010 to get out in the new tent!!

Ther is a site like this practically on the beach at Port Eynon. We did not stay there but had a chat to owner and he let us look about, must say toilet facilities were spotless. Can walk to small row of cafes, chip shops, pubs BUT shops are a different thing on the Gower.
I stayed at a site called Pitton Cross on the Gower. It was a nice site, path to the beach, small kids play area, a small onsite shop that did hot drinks. (great for warming up after pitching the tent in the rain). Showers and toilets were clean and tidy, staff on site where friendly, although when we stayed a group of DofE students were also camping, they were quite noisy at night but this was soon dealt with by the staff.
There was no bar on site but a short drive away (or owner of pub will provide a mini bus for small fee) to the local pub with restaurant - nice food. Swansea is about 15 mile drive away with a Tesco and Sainsburys for a big shop.
The Gower is lovely, I recommend a trip to Rhossili beach - fantastic for surfing, walking etc.
We live in Swansea and have been to Banc Farm, like you we don't like rowdy, it does have a club house but there are fields further enough for that not to bother you, the views are stunning and close ish to the beach. In Port Eynon (walking distance) there is a nice chippy andreasonably quiet beach We have also stayed at Nicholaston farm, this is a lovely peaceful site no club house and you can pick your own fruit and veg too, or visit the shop where they have some picked! There is a pretty ardudous wlak to the beach tho!!
Hope you find one you like!

There is not a site on the Gower that ticks all your boxes, and there are no shops there to be near to. Below is a summary that may help, but please note that I completed it from memory so some items are subject to opinion.
