We recently came across a site where you can hire a static for the whole season for £2200. This seemed like quite a good deal to us as when you buy your own caravan the annaul fee can be almost as much as that. Does anyone know of other sites who are doing this? Seems like a great idea to us,.

For that £2.2k, do you get unlimited usage, or is it restricted to say, 8 weekends per summer, and you can only chose weekends / weeks that are not already allocated?
What site is it and do you have a link to the details?
Sounds an ok deal.Some seasonal pitches for tourers can be that much on some sites.Like Ratty says,have a read of the small print to see about the usage you can get out of it and see about electric,gas and water rates and gas and electric safety tests which can all bump up the costs.

No mention of rates or service charge.
The offer at Romney is for "free use" of a caravan for hte season to see if you like the site and that type of holiday, just pay site fees (£2400 - £2700) and service charges.
