Hi all.The two of us on a motor-cycle have enjoyed camping for years (the rain, the mud,the stones which appear beneath your sleeping-bag in the middle of the night), but somebody no longer wishes to have to carry so much gear with us, - especially as we are usually only a few days in each place.                                                We don't want to carry more than sleeping bags. We only want to hire a reasonable 2-man tent (it needn't be pre-erected) and perhaps some basic cooking gear.       The sites which offer pre-erection, at first glance, only cater to the luxury end of the market.                                                                                                           For now, are there any sites in the Pembroke/coastal area. west of Swansea which fit the bill.                                                                                                         For the future, are there any sites nationally which might suit us ?                 Thanks in advance, Dave.

Hi there. Thanks for prompt reply.

Had a quick look at their site, exactly the kind of thing we're looking for.Sadly it's the wrong end of Wales.

Since this one exists, it gives hope that there are others.

A few more responses and we can be on holiday.

Thanks again, Dave.P

Hi all. Thanks for replies.

Hole Station looks really good. There must be a few others similar around the country.

Where do I find out about sites with Pods ?  My first thought is they'll be too big, luxurious and expensive for two people who don't require every modcon.

A google search for camping pods brings up a few sites. Also the advanced campsite search on here allows you  to select 'glamping' which brings up sites with wigwams, yuts, pods etc.

The YHA are even installing a few pods, and the caravan and camping club do them on some sites as well.

These look good.
