Are you CC members? Lakeside CC site near Exmoor almost fits your criteria. Big dog walk, lovely pub (Anchor Inn) which has a glorious riverside beer garden is within 5 mins walk. Set within countryside area, but compromise is coast is by car. (nearest beach - Dunster/Minehead).
If the site says full on the CC site, ring the warden - they sometimes can fit you in.

we've tried Exe Valley, Exmoor, Higherwell Farm, Stoke Gabriel, Zeacombe House, Exmoor, Watermouth Valley, Ilfracombe, Seadown, Charmouth, Tudor Caravan Park, Slimbridge, Cheddar Bridge, Cheddar, Burrowhayes, Porlock...............and I'm sure there are others I have forgotten! lol

One of our old favourites is Thorney Lakes, Langport. Lovely rural location with endless dog walks - compromise is nowhere near beach. You could try there?
Bowdens Crest Langport also looks nice - they have pub onsite.
Legge Farm, Highampton (near Beaworthy). Is set in rural countryside, if you like quiet sites you will love it. Although Beaworthy is quite remote, and nearest beach is Bude.
We've just returned from Harford Bridge, Tavistock. Lovely site just west of Dartmoor, next to the river. 2 miles to Tavistock town centre. They are very friendly and helpful if you ring them.

Hi if it is Just adults try Zeacombe House Nr Anstey. You wont have to Worry as Pete and Linny do an Evening Meal service, Book before 4-30 and you Collect your Meal from the Office and take it to you dwelling. Return DIRTY PLATES!! no washing up. Brilliant. Dogs have their own Play Area all you must do is Pick up any Doo- Doos and put them in the Bin. Good for the whole of North Devon

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who made suggestions for sites for our weekend away. We have managed to book into Moor View Touring Park at Modbury, Devon. The website looks good and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone when making the booking was most helpful.
