Can anyone advise on a good family oriented campsite, no animals, for camping in June.
Ideally it will be near a nice town for eating and provisions, near a beach for the kids and near enough to the hills (cheviots, i guess) for some summer walking.
Advice would be be most welcome.
Ta.

I live in South Northumberland. I had some days out last year looking at campsites about 12 sites. I thought the best one we visited was 'Waren'. We have not stayed but had a walk around. I have put a link below. Good for children, nice pub restaurant. Unfortunately there are not many places without animals, I presume you mean dogs. Warren campsite is about a mile from Bamburgh Castle and the beach. Seahouses is a nice coastal town with a harbour, shops, cafes and pubs. Parking is good and not too pricey. Berwick is not far for proper supermarkets and is also worth a visit. Alnwick is close and is a nice town with 'Harry Potter' Castle and Gardens. Holy Island and the Farne Islands are also very close.
Ah, should have made that clear. I meant that we dont have animals. I would prefer a site without pets , but i wouldnt let this be a deciding factor in an otherwise nice site.
Highburn House in Wooler is a lovely site and very reasonably priced. it's a quiet site with a small play area and 10 minute walk into town for all the shops and pubs you could want. Not really near a beach but the beaches of Bamburgh are only a sort drive. Wooler also has a swimming pool for those rainy days. The Cheviots are right on your doorstep. Also Alnwick Castle (Harry Potter fame) and gardens is just a short drive.
Not as big or with the same facilities as Waren but this is reflected in the price.
