Any reviews on this site? We're hoping to go away for a couple of nights next month with another family. Neither family have been camping (except when young and our own parents were in charge). Between us there will be 5 children under 10.
We thought it might be good to go there since there's a pool - for if the weather gets too bad.
Thanks.

You should find reviews if you do a campsite search on hear. I stayed there a few years ago with the caravan and it was just to noisy and all pitches were on a slope.
Maybe things have changed but the reviews should give you a better idea.

Yes..I see the last reviews were April this year. its always difficult if there are no fairly recent reviews to go by.
Maybe someone who has been there recently will post a reply.

Hi, depending upon what you're after Faskally is either good or not so good. If you're after a busy site, good play area for the kids ,play area, good shop etc, then it's good. If you prefer peace and good views with relaxed atmos, it's bad. The toilet, shower and dishwashing are all good, but depending upon numbers onsite, can be a bit less clean than I liked. Hope this helps, Alex - ps most tent pitches slope
Thanks Alex. Since it's our first trip and my 3 kids can get a bit noisy and carried away with themselves at the best of times, then I think it might be ok for us. Personally, I'd like peace and quiet - but that's not going to happen even if I'm in a field on my own with the kids!
Thought, it looked good at Faskally as there was stuff for the kids to do.
We've not practiced putting the tent up on a slope but I suppose we'll have to deal with it.
We haven't pitched on a slope yet, but i'm sure some one on here will tell you the best way so you are not rolling or sliding off of your camp beds or air beds in the middle of the night !!

Thanks Angela. I believe my friend has booked us in - so hopefully it's been updated a bit.
Since it's our first trip out it will be an experience anyway.
we were at faskally a few years ago, it was excellent, kids loved it which to us is the main thing. we recommended it to a few people who all went and no bad reviews from them. pitlochry itself has lots shops etc and is not far from it. :)
