As my wife is disabled and has difficulty walking any distance, we thought we'd invest in an electric bike for her. As we live in South Wales, finding campsites in reasonably level area is a bit difficult.
Anyhow, we're hoping to get away shortly and were wondering if anyone could suggest any sites within 150 miles of Maesteg ideally with some cycle routes nearby. Any suggestions would be gratefully received .

Take a look at Tudor Caravan Park, near Slimbridge. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3137 It has an adults only section (bonus), great pub right outside the site (double bonus!) and you can bike along the flat towpath either way almost directly from the site. Not too far to travel for you both either.

Thanks for the info. Went there many years ago when visiting the Wetlands Centre. Got to agree it ticks all the boxes and if I remember correctly, they have a good selection of REAL ales (triple bonus). Probably give it a go in the next few weeks.
