Hi does anyone know of some good down to earth campsites in north wales as I bought an old converted transit camper in october unfortunatly we havnt had chance to use it yet and cant wait until march to start and although we are very happy with it and it is in very good condition for its age from past experience and from what i have been told there are alot of campsites were people look down there noses at you unless you have a caravan or motorhome thats worth 10 grand plus?.
we do know of one or two good down to earth campsites but would like to know if anyone can help with suggestions of others has now we have got the van we would like to visit alot more sites around north wales were we can enjoy ourselves without being judged by snobs lol..
we dont mind basic campsites with just showers and toilets in fact we sometimes prefer these any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
You could try my favourite site on Anglesey, it's only just about two steps up from basic and they certainly don't look down their noses at you there regardless of what you camp in.
It's quite an extensive site divided into large open camping fields and smaller more sheltered areas and you can pitch where you want. Much of it is sloping though so you may need levelling blocks depending on where you pitch. There's two toilet/shower blocks with cdp, and fresh water taps dotted around the site. Also new this year was a catering van doing breakfasts and hot drinks. Most areas of the site have great views and it's only a few minutes walk from the village with pubs, cafes and shops etc. I would recommend you go earlier in the year if you can - May and June are fine - as it gets very busy during the long school holidays in summer and sometimes it can be a bit noisy on the top field. Other than that it's a good site if you don't expect the bells and whistles - I go several times a year so it can't be that bad! lol

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
i will check these sites out come march as we really like angelsey would also like to know any around lynn peninsuala if anyone knows of any as this is an area we have not camped around before thanks
I would suggest you try CL sites. I am sure they would be glad of the business and not care what your accomodation is as long as you are a CC member. If in doubt, let them know what your vehicle is when you phone them.
