Does anyone know of a database of cheap, or non-expensive campsites in the uk? I have been browsing trying to find a campsite near padstow in cornwall to stay august bank holiday week. We used to stay at a great touring park within walking distance of the town and the local tesco store (people who know padstow will now know which park I'm talking about). We used to pay about £33 a night so I'm not a tight git or anything. This year the nightly fee would be £47.50!!!!..What a bloody rip off.
The cheaper sites could make a killing if they got together and guaranteed prices of no more than say £35 per night!

We are going to try some in Cornwall for the 1st time this year.
Some sites are the main ones your probably looking at, But maybe the rally field, Or maybe a farmers field with just a tap and somewhere to empty your toilet.
So you may need to be self contained.
I have toilet issues so 3 of us sharing maybe an issue. Rules out some cheaper sites £10 a night..

CS sites are very good value, all are different so offer a variety of facilities. Well worth the joining fee if your looking at a couple of weeks away a year
