I'm after some advice on sites. I've only been camping once with my children which was years ago. We went to Cofton County Park in Dawlish. I found the site great, only downside was its location (mikes from anywhere).
We're looking for a short 2/3 night break away. We live in north Birmingham. We have 3 children aged 12, 9 & 1 so need some facilities to suit all ages with lots to do on and off site.
Thank you for any advice you can offer me

Thank you Hun, I'll go and have a look at that sit!
My boys like the outdoors, not sure about fishing tho they've never tried it! I'd love to be able to take their bikes but we don't have a bike rack for our car :(
What's the area like for siteseeing/activities? We aren't really ones for sitting around for hours on end (although it would be nice to sit with a book for a few hours, too used to having small kiddies around us lol).
Is there any sites with parks/pools etc on? They're football mad so some space away from people's tents would be a bonus! :)
If you want a lovely clean and well maintained site with access to a swimming pool and kiddies playground then Hollins Farm in Silverdale might fit the bill. You can use all the facilities at Holgates caravan park over the road (pool, cafe/restaurant, small bar, playground). It's a great site for a quiet family camping holiday, yet with some nice perks without staying in a big holiday park type site. Handy for south lakes, Silverdale, Arnside, Lancaster, Western Dales so loads to do... You can walk up Arnside Knott from the site - lovely short walk and great views - or get a train over the estuary viaduct to Grange-over-sands. Nice chippy in Arnside too!
Thanks for your replies. I'll go and have a look at them sites
I've not heard of Silverdale, I'll have a look to see how far that is from here.
I've come across River Dart and it looks great for the kids!! I'd definitely like to go and try that one out.
We're holding out for a nice sunny few days so am relying on somewhere being available

We've just got back from Grange leisure park in mablethorpe. A lovely campsite with plenty of space for kids to run around. It is a big site with statics and fishing lakes but the tent area was lovely just like a cs(I will do a review). There is a play area and also a ball court. It was inexpensive too.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
