My daughter is attending a cheerleader competition
next May at the Metro Radio Arena and I
was wondering if anyone could recommend a campsite for

Nothing near by, you'll need to look out along the West Road towards Hexham. I think you'll need to look at about 10 mile away at least.

Agree, plenty along Hadrians Wall direction. Several around Hexham (and it's on train line to Newcastle, I think). Otherwise northwards along the Northumberland coast. Don't know of any close to town.
