We used the C&CC sites at Dunbar and Rosemarkie (near Inverness) a couple of years ago and liked them both. Dunbar is just a short drive into the town itself and there are a number of castles in the area to explore. Rosemarkie is a few feet from the coast though a bit further afield from places of interest.

I wouldn't use Ayr again though. It's the most disappointing C&CC site we've been to.

Yup. We felt that it had an odd atmosphere and was very claustrophobic. We even tried moving on to the next site on our tour early.

Never stayed there but went for a look once. The steep exit put me off .... We prefer Ayr Craigie Gardens CC Site

Does it have to be club sites, are you a member of the C.C. or the C.C.C. ?
