We would like to try camping for the first time with our test.
We will be at alton towers for couple of days and then we are thinking of trying camping in our tent afterwards.
I can see the peak district is near alton towers...
Any campsites you recommend for us for a family of four with teenagers?, etc.

The Star at Alton is a nice enough site, part of the Camping & Caravanning Club; less than 1 mile from Alton Towers and Oakamoor village and on the edge of the Peaks. As with most club sites, doesn't have a whole lot of facilities like pools, sports fields, etc.
Although it has quite a lot of statics, there is a camping field immediately to the left which is secluded from the statics area.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
