I run an adults only site, no one here is grumpy so I wouldn't worry about that :-)
A large percentage of our campers are mums and dads who appreciate a bit of grown up time for themselves.
We get alot of teachers too - no surprise there.
I went to Blackberry Fields, the adult only part of Blackberry Wood campsite near Ditchling on the South Downs. It is over the other side of the road.
Each pitch is in it's own mowed glade surrounded by low trees / bushes. Campfires allowed, toilets OK, hot water shower, open to the sky. 1 washing up sink. No other facilities. Fabulous walks on the S Downs.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

You could also look into Wayfarers in Cornwall The Meadows is a lovely site too, as long as you don't mind a bit of road noise.
We stay at The Old Oaks, Glastonbury every year, and can agree with it being the best site we've ever stayed on by far
Hiya, could you please submit reviews for the sites you have visited, so everyone can find them and read about them?
We mainly got to Adult only sites;
Old Oaks
Lamb Cottage
Hawthorne Cottage
Greendale
Barford Top
Enter those names into the camp site search. they are vsairied in terms of type and place.
Our happiest times on adult only sites.

Hawthorn Cottage April
Lamb Cottage April
Somers Wood May
Maxstoke Hall June
Houghton Mill June
Lamb Cottage August
Somers Wood September
The Meadows, October
WE don't necessarily seek out adult only sites but have used them from time to time if they are in the right location. Plough Lane at Chippenham is excellent.
After many bad experiences we us A/O sites now almost exclusively. We mainly use cl's , but have just come back from a few days at Eye Kettlby near Melton Mowbray . Perhaps the caravan club hierarchy should visit this site for a few ideas . Bit expensive , but well worth it . Incidentally Belper Bloke , I live near by in Ripley
