Hi, have been looking for a site that is near to a parkrun, trying to organise a long weekend away for October, preferably Essex, Suffolk, Kent.

Have been studying both the parkrun map and search for sites on here, nothing like 1st hand experience though.

Henlow Bridge Lakes is close to the parkrun of the same name (didn't camp there, so don't know what the site is like).

Hill Farm is within walking distance of Wendover Woods. It's a lovely spot.

Haven't done this one, but Westmill Farm Three Lakes is close to Westmill parkun.

Will be interesting to see if there are any others for future visits!

Have looked into a few given to me from our running club.

Alton Waters Ipswich 2 laps parkrun, has campsite on site.

Sizewell near Aldeburgh 1 lap parkrun, has Beach View holidays campsite close by.

Maybe Webmaster could look into this as a dedicated search!!

Have found couple more, Willowmere caravan park with Cornard parkrun next to it and Lee Valley Dobbs Weir caravan park with Barclay parkrun nearby.

Just bumping this - a few of us made it from the Torchlight festival at Walesbury Forest to Clumber Park parkrun.

There is a CAMC site closer at Clumber Park for those of you who are members there.

Found another: Ganger Farm is quite close to Three Trees in Romsey, Hampshire.

It is close enough to walk/run, but there isn't really much of a path by the road, so we drove. There is quite a bit of parking, and easy to find.

Devizes, my home town, has its own Park Run, and Devizes C&CC club site is about 6 miles away.

If you do not fancy walking or running into town, there is a bus service to and from Devizes to Melksham and Bath, with bus stops just a short walk from the campsite.

Just bumping this up again - I did Aldenham parkrun on Saturday and they have a campsite there: Aldenham Country Park Farm.

Nice parkrun as well, though parking is expensive (I went by bus).

I see there are almost 70 in Scotland.

A quick scroll through the list (each with a little map) & a number have independent or club sites or Aires in the near vicinity eg Strathclyde Country Park, Troon, Ayr, Torvean by Inverness, Stonehaven, Lochore Meadows, Faskally, Forfar, Carlinwark Loch at Castle Douglas, Aviemore. Probably many more but I only know of nearby sites with toilets & showers that take dogs that I know or have stayed at.

Bumping this yet again - we stayed at Borowaters Farm in Southminster and ran at Burnham on Crouch parkrun. However, there is a site right in town much closer Silver Road Caravan Park

The town itself is nice and the area worth a visit.

Do add this to your Scottish parkrun trip, if you ever do it. Beecraigs: a big country park with a very good campsite, in the hills south of Linlithgow. Plenty of reviews. I love that if you keep following the paths uphill past the Scottish Korean War Memorial to the highest point (Witches Craig, I think) you can see Arran to the west & Bass Rock to the east.
(Beecraigs parkrun has this website with map: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/ But I’m sure you’ll know it.)
