Hi, I’m looking for campsites that accept tents and dogs, that have en-suite pitches.
I’m recently widowed and trying to work out how to continue camping without my husband.
I have no qualms about camping alone, but one issue is my rescue dog, who I can’t tie up outside the toilet facilities (separation anxiety and he will bark) - me and hubby used to go to the loo and take it in turns to stand outside with him!
Every site I’ve been to has signs saying dogs not allowed inside the toilet block.
So, I’m looking for sites that have en-suite toilets at the pitches, but in the north of England.
I prefer small, quiet sites. I’ve tried searching / googling but I’m drawing a blank, so thought I’d ask on here.

I must admit I never knew there were such things as pitches with en-suite toilets. I've certainly never seen any. Good luck, hope you find what you are looking for.
Good luck with finding such a pitch with en-suite facilities as I too have not come across any.
If you have not already tried this, I would like to suggest for the separation anxiety to addressed, by leaving your dog for short period of time, and gradually increasing the length etc., before taking him to go camping on your own.

There are a few more suitable for caravans as they have hard standing pitches. Maybe better to start looking whether you can buy a caravan which has a toilet and shower and then all your issues are resolved?
Or a motorhome with onboard facilities if you don't fancy towing?

Maybe look at stopping at CL/CSs with toilet and shower facilities - you can sometimes be the only one on site especially out of main holiday times and if you don't need EHU. You may not be able to take your dog in with you but if left tethered by your tent, he/she should at least be able to see where you've gone.
Put the dog in the car temporarily while you head off for a shower or whatever, that’s what we had to do when we used a tent with an anxious dog.
And well done to the OP - it takes courage to keep doing the shared hobbies on your own. However, everyone looks out for the solo female camper, I found from my own experience with a small tent.
With my first dog, he was fine with being left alone for a few hours by the time he came to live with me full time after my late partner's death.
When I was tenting on my own, he was left inside the tent or tethered outside the tent when I went to the facilities block with no reported issues. He was well-trained by my late partner.
With my current dog, he is still young just over 2yo, and came to me as a 5-month old puppy.
I cannot leave him tethered outside the van as he would bark. However, he is quite happy to be left tethered inside the van with the door shut.
He is normally tethered inside the van so that he could venture into the cab or the back of the van to chew what he could find to his heart's content!
