Hi- Have booked a trip for my husband to the Williams F1 Headquarters at Wantage Oxfordshire in March and thinking of taking the caravan down. Has anybody stayed at the Lincoln Farm Site in Witney, Oxon?

Jan (Jackrascals)

Mel,

there aren't any statics on this site but there's another site just around the corner that hires them:  http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1391

Jan,

They're closed until 1st Feb, but when you do book, it'll be advisable to get a hardstanding pitch for March because it tends to get a bit boggy on grass.

Enjoy your stay, you'll love it.

Have been there twice, excellent site.  Would also agreee with getting a hardstanding.

Had a fully serviced pitch once, did seem to be a bit of a waste as the toilets and showers are immaculate.  Bob the builder playing at 5am in the toilets one morning was quite unnerving!!

The pool facilities are good, but it does get expensive if you use then every day.  We hired the pool out privately, well worth it.

There are large freezers that can be used to keep your items frozen.

The only let down is the wash up areas.  The are a bit open, so in the colder times its a pain.  Also the water sometimes does not seem hot enough for washing up.

Regards

Trevor

We go places which interest the kids but, being the Cotswolds, there's an abundance of beautiful countyside walks you can go on. Have a look in the information hut opposite the reception, there's leaflets galore to get ideas of what to do/where to go.
