Hi, have just booked a weeks stay at the Sandy Balls campsite in the New Forest and wondered whether anyone out there has been. It looks great for children - i have 2.5 year old twin girls and am taking my sister who is 12 and my cousin who is 11 (and also 3 other adults to keep me sane
any comments greatfully received.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Hi Sian
Assume you have searched the campsite listings, http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/ around 30 reviews there for Sandy Balls which may help
Cheers

Whoops ! Can you tell im new?? thanks for that and have looked through and seems most people think that it is not the best for campers due to gravel pitches and hard rocky parts. Is there anything that i can do so that my ground sheet doesnt get riped to shreds and so that it is not too hard underfoot??
No worries Sian. as Ratty says they do hire Astroturf, and it isn't that expensive. It will protect your groundsheet, but you will still need some hefty rockpegs, rather than your normal tent pegs, to get them through the hardstandings
Cheers!
