Hi All

Our daughter is getting married in Central Manchester in early July followed by a Reception at Stockport Town Hall.  Can anyone recommend any sites in the Greater Manchester/Stockport area.  We are thinking of stopping over nearby in the 'van to save driving over the 2 days before/afterwards. 

Not too far away as we only live about 30 miles away. 

All suggestions welcome.

There is a campsite at Hollingworth lake, Littleborough, Rochdale which is really nice and the train goes into Victoria station Manchester from Littleborough station, but would cost £30 pounds in a taxi back from Stockport ( Littleborough taxi's rate ), link below

One of the reviews says littleborough is 3 miles away, but it isn't, is a 4/5 miniute taxi ride away, cost £2.50ish.

There is an actual site in Stockport, I think its called Elm Beds? The other really nice site is Hollybank caravan park at Rixton/Lymm. Its a lovely site and about 10 minutes drive from Stockport (2 minutes away from main M56/M6 interchange)
