Hiya

I was wondering if anyone knows of any campsites in the Peak District that allow fires? I'm not talking huge bonfires. We recently went camping in Snowdownia and had a few camp fires - it really made the weekend!

No, dont think so. There is a list of the sites which allow campfires at http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/articles/view.asp?id=4

from what i can remember they are not allowed in the peak national park due to problem of fires speading with the peak being made up mainly of peat.

Fisherground Farm campsite in the lake district allows fires it has designated areas for them i havent been but read in a camping mag it looks a really nice site with fantastic veiws. The web site is http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1080
