We are looking for a site in the dorset area to try out our new Vango Diablo 900. We have 2 boys age 6 & 7 and want to be within a walk or cycle to the sea. Can anybody recommend anywhere?

Slapton sands is good. See reviews. There is a lot of building work in Lyme Regis and the roads are chocca as my friends live there.
Forgive my ignorance but I thought that Slapton Sands was in South Devon. Is there another that I've never heard of? Please educate me, I'm genuinely interested.

Charmouth and Lyme Regis are lovely but isn't there still alot of work going on in Lyme Regis at the moment?
They still seem to be transporting sand all over the beach with bulldozers. The top car park is open above the Cob, but the road has strengthening and traffic signals so its one way all the way down to the bottom, long queues in nice weather. The car park which was at the bottom of the hill, near the chip shop (which is under new management by the way and they dont look too clean either.....) is fenced off, more building work in progress there, no idea what they're doing either - they've been at it 2 seasons already. Best option is to use the Park and Ride.
We've just come back from Dorset, stayed at 3 sites - Binghams Farm which is marvellous, but adults only so not for you.
Merley Court, Wimbourne now part of the Shorefield group was very good, esp. if you dont mind being a few miles from coast.loeds of excellent showers, shop, pool, bar, childrens play room etc. Also handy for Monkey World and Bovington Tank Museum.
Dont know how to link to their site, but just enter Merley Court
Stayed at East Fleet Farm Chickerell nr Weymouth this summer fantastic site highly reccomended read reviews from other members no ones got a bad word for it
------------- IM ALWAYS IN THE POOH ITS JUST THE DEPTH THAT VARIES
