Hi just wondered if anybody had been to Plassey Park Wrexham??? We have booked for 4 nights this weekend. Hubbie is commuting to work on friday leaving me and small baby for a day to have a wander round. Just wondering whereabouts of nearest village to the park i.e. can you walk it with pushchair.
Look forward to your replies

Have been to Plassey twice now. It is well laid out, clean, the staff are very helpful, and there is a lot to do. The craft centre is nice, if a little expensive. The golf club do meals, though last time they weren't great.
You should find that unless you are unlucky, most people will respect the 11 'Quiet' rrule, which with a baby I expect you will appreciate at bedtime.
We had a great pitch (you cannot choose your pitch). Nice and relaxing.
However, it is really in the middle of nowhere as far as walking to shops/pub. As I said though, there is a bar and shop on site which are pretty well stocked.
The owners of Plassey contribute to this website, why not drop them an email, they sound like they would be happy to answer any questions you might have. Have a good time!

Hi, I have been here last weekend and had a really lovely time, like you I have a small child who is 18 mths old and found the quiet rule very handy and was strongly enforced by the wardens, you won't be able to walk to the nearest town, however there are a few craft shops and tearooms at the plassey that will be well worth a walk round, there is also a swimming pool onsite to.
The Plassey really is a nice site. The pitches are nice & green & the whole site is layed out very well. The route you'll take , same as the one i do, takes you down the A483 from where its signed. The nearset 'village' is Eyton but there's not much there at all , you'll drive through this after you go off the main road. Wrexham is about 15 mins drive but not really walkable.
There's plenty on site to have a mooch around. Shops, tea rooms, swimming pool ( £1 ) that when we went didn't seem to be over the top with Chlorine, so should be ok for the baby. There are walks about the site round the golf course , if you push chairs up to it!! Even just walking around the road about the site is a nice walk in its self as it is such a nice environment.
All in all we thought it a great site and only an 1 hour from home!
