We are planning a trip to North Wales in May.

Please can someone recommend a site which would be fairly central to the attractions of the area? We are not into sites with large and noisy club houses....would prefer something quiet but within walking distance of a town or village.

stayed at coed helen which is about a 15 minute walk into Caernarfon, pleasant site, listed as caravan club site but we were allowed on as guests at an extra cost.

Try Here. Lovely site 10 minutes stroll from nice market town and ideally situated for touring North Wales mountains and coast.

OK Monster, youve got to try this one:

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=3610

Its very near the coast, (2 min walk to the beach)

BREATHTAKING scenery, I challenge you to find better, sea views of anglesey, puffin island, the great orme in llandudno and mountain views behind

ADULTS only

Pub at the entrance to the site (staggering / rolling distance) newly refurbished and according to my son the food is good. Not had chance to try it since the new owners but it certainly looks nice. We have spent many a happy hour sat outside watching fantastic sun sets over anglesey.

Fantastic walks either beach or mountain without having to go in the car. (a couple of good pubs along a small road near the mountain.

I should get a job with the welsh tourist board for all that. (we lived in the village where the site is for 5 years and it is bdy fantastic. Only live a few miles away now but given the chance would move back tomorrow.

Hope that helps, if you need anything else give us a shout

If you fancy a bit of a tour then the sites mentioned above are not too far away, we would suggest going round thiose areas on day trips though.

Isnt it a small world, you are wanting to come here and we are coming up to you for Easter, staying at a site on Loch Ness for a couple of days.

We can highly recommend here:

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=5404

My wife and i stay here a lot, a small freindly site within 5 mins walk of the village of Llanffechal, 5mins drive to Camaes bay town centre, within easy access of the north Anglesey coastal walk and many empty beaches if you search them out, the site does have a bar/lounge but it's nice and quiet/freindly

Can recommend (along with fellrunner37 & Caradan_uk) Cae Du in Beddgelert, great walking, picturesque village, fantastic mountain views, central for snowdonia attractions, peacefull well maintained site!
