We are taking our caravan out for the very first time this weekend( being campers previously) and need a site not too far out (we live in manchester), that is very child friendly with a good play area, not too noisey, and very clean, where we can practise our awning skills!

I'd love walks an indoor pool/or beach with ?farm nearby.....I know now I'm getting too silly but i'm sure one exists somwhere!!

Love to get some advice as we are getting desperate.

Went to edisford farm last weekend its not a c&cc any more they have built a new shower&toilet block which you need a key for its lovely and heated. they are still getting the site sorted but its safe for kids and its a stonesthrow from the edisford arms and at £10 a night you can't complain. we will definately go back again

The Plassey near Wrexham has an indoor pool, Play area etc. Lovely site.

I think it is just called the Clitheroe C&CC site. Go on their web-site to find it. It is not the same as Eddisford Farm.

Burrs Country Park - Bury? Caravan Club site. Lots of walks and activity centre onsite for the kids. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=5857

Stayed there a couple of weeks ago and we enjoyed it. Can't be too far from you?

how long would it take us to get to the plassey from swinton in manchester?

Is it a straight run?

Never reversed with caravan and we ALWAYS get lost down little back streets!!

OMG !!

It may be advisable to go somewhere for a bit of practice first

Preferably a disused airfield

 The Burrs at Bury would be a very good choice from Swinton. About 40 mins to the site. Burrs is a Country Park with activities. 2 good pubs next door, steam train and country walks. I live 5 mins. away. If you are stuck let me know and I will guide you there.
