Camping Monplaisir at St Remy de Provence is just under a hours drive from Nimes and is well situated for visits to Avignon, Pont du Gard, Arles, the Camargue.
St Remy has interesting Roman ruins to the south of the town, has a lot of associations with Van Gogh and the Alpilles (hill range) a few miles south give some splendid views across to the Med, Mont Ventoux etc.
We absolutely loved Camping la Sousta last year - reminded us very much of Setthorns in the New Forest (if you've ever been there?), but with more facilities.
Walking/cycling distance to the Pont du Gard (free entry if you walk or cycle), direct river access with a small beach, a pool, a shop, and a bar/restaurant. About half an hour by car to Nimes. Its also ACSI, so only £18 per night when the card is valid.

If you could find five minutes to leave an uptodate review we'd be very grateful indeed thankyou!
