Hi, sorry not been but from what what I've seen, including the prices, it must be an all singing dancing kind of place.
Re Grand Cosse, we had thought of going there this year but have opted for a basic naturist site 3 miles from large naturist beach in southern Brittany. For the past 3 years we've been to Relaxnat on the Costa Brave, which is lovely.
What was the problem with Grande Cosse?
For our second stay in Brittany have found textile campsite next to a beach with Naturist beach in adjacent cove.
Can't wait. Let's just hope the weather is good.
grande cosse we went last august for 3 wks we arrived and everything looked ok the people at reception spoke english and they were the only english speaking people who worked there nobody understood english in the supermarket the bar the resturant or any where else, there were only 8 english families on the whole camp site, its mainly a french campsite the evening entertainment didnt start till 21.45hrs and good evening was said in every language but english and to cap it all is was £4.00 a pint. hope this helps
what is the name of the basic naturist campsite in southern brittany that you are going to and what is the name of the other camp site that you are going to
Hi AMBD - we had a first-time experience on a naturist site in France this year, and we were the only British people there. The reception staff said that they didn't have that many British visitors at all, their customers being mainly French, Belgian, Dutch and German. Maybe it's common to all French naturist sites, perhaps. As this was a first time I don't know.
We spent some time on the naturist beach at Serignan Plage, where there is also a naturist campsite, but again there didn't seem to be any other British cars in the car park.
We were at Domaine de Sabliere in the south of France - prices there were fine. The supermarket was as cheap as the one in town, and we had a lovely three course meal there for the same as it might have cost in a cheaper restaurant nearby. A litre pichet of wine was 5 euros.

is the textile site next to beach with adjacent naturist cove, so the english campsite owners asure us.
www.Cnbs56.com is basic site , no pool but huge naturist beach 5km away. You do not need to be part of naturist association or even book. have been in touch with them.
I also receive news from Jan Randall see www.Naturist_Times at naturist-holiday-guide.com
I think that's where I found reference to the basic site. There is a whole heap of useful info.
I also google for naturist beaches.
best wishes and have a great hol
Alex

hi
what we realy want to know is :-
do many english couples go to euronat
whats the entertaiment like ie is it in english or french or multi langual and any other info you can give us
You will probabley get more English at Euronat than most other French Naturist sites. The site is huge & you really need to bring or hire a bike to get around on. Its a long walk from campsite to beach & shops.
The reception speaks English & its a very 'international' site, loads of other nationalities will speak English to you.
The evening entertainment is good, as with any large naturist site of this type you tend to get dressed in the evening. there are various resturants around the centre square with rock/folk/jazz bands playing outside. You can stand/sit & watch without buying a meal, its all very laid back.
Excellent modern indoor/outdoor pool.
Having said all that, we much prefer CHM Montalivet about 5 miles away, almost as big, similar 'town centre' but much more traditional French naturiste.
The advantage of Euronat(& other sites in the France4Naturisme group)is that it dosent require membership of a naturist organization ie BritishNaturism or FFN about £40p.a for a couple. Although many smaller mainly Dutch owned naturist sites dont ask for a card either.
A critisim aimed at the large sites is that they are not 'naturist' enough ie too many dressed people about but naturism is always compulsory on beach & in pool.
The true naturist sites are the smaller sites in the depths of rural France.
Full list of French naturist sites can be found on the FFN website.
The site is Dutch owned, mainly Dutch campers, popular with Brits & usually no French campers at all. The owners speak fluent English & so will most of the campers so you wont be lonely. Naturist cards not required.
We really like the place and will be going back next year, this year will be on a 'textile' site with friends near Royan. Kabbes message is correct; a bike is really needed, although they can be hired.
We have had years when we have made friends with English couples and years when we have not, but then we like the Dutch, always very friendly.
The evening entertainment is good; normally a band playing at one of the bars/restaurants, the two ladies in my life love a good dance!!
The pool complex has just had a second outdoor pool added to go with the indoor and outdoor pools, we had always felt that this was required.
We found it was cheaper to buy food from the local super markets, all within 20 minutes drive of Euronat than from the shops on site. A good visit into the vineyards is thoroughly recommended.
As I said we really love the place, were not 'hard core' naturists, but we really love the feeling of freedom for that two weeks.
Role on next summer.

Can I just mention that the France4Naturisme sites (or eight of them) accept Camping Cheques in low season. When we were at Domaine de Sabliere the 'board price' was 26.40 per night, including electricity - it cost us just £11.95 (the current price of Camping Cheques if booked with a ferry). For couples, who want to go outside peak season this is a really good saving. Each site has different dates - some have a very short season when CCs can be used, but others such as Sabliere and Origan, accept them for a larger part of the season.
Having to post here to catch you naturists. There has been a new category added in the features and tips board for Naturist sites. At present mostly in uk but some in France and one I posted on Spain. Lets try to get this going, so write up some sites and do reviews.
Skinny dipping is good.
A day of all things motorhome and campervan. The show is held both in the main indoor arena and across the grounds. Catering, hot drinks and food options are available. Easy access to the site and free parking included. Win one of five pairs of day tickets
