Looking at Les Alicourts for end June-July, Lakeside Pitch is a option on booking! Are they worth the extra? Also because of the age of my kids was thinking of Eurocamp Independent! Having never booked through them before any do/donts would be appreciated. Thanks Cunnie
Common Sense not as common as you would think!

I wouldn't have though it worth paying the extra for Eurocamp Independent as they don't have any UK run kids clubs on site, only the site run ones. The only reason we're considering paying the extra of E.Ind is for the kids clubs, other than that it's the same apart from having reps on site.
------------- From tents to trailer tents to a tin tent to an air tent to trailer tent and back to tin tent!
Lake side pitches are ok, but of course very open to everyone walking past to look in .We go the next road up.
book direct with them, email them or call. The people on reception speak good english on the phone, or reply to your emails very quickly.
The resort itself run clubs for the kids, drop them off and run away
These clubs are run by the resort reps that also do the everning entertainment.
Keycamp and eurocamp are a very small set up at this resort, its mainly Camping under canvas and O'Hara who have a large presence.
We age going back again to Alicourts next year, looked at various other regions, but the kids wanted to go back to Alicourts again.
booking today.

We were on one site where access along lake was possible. Quite a few instances of theft from awnings in the night. We weren't affected as we were well into site. Just a point to consider.

Well Im all booked up again for next year, nice large pitch 736 I keep going back to.
For me the lakeside pitches are nice, its access road behind it and the next row of pitches seems a bit tighter once all the big cars are parcked at the back of the lake pitchesif that makes sence.
Take a look at the site map, might explain it better.
We go the next row back, Numbers 700+ pitches Second road back, 4th row of pitches.
In my opinion this is the best position on the site, large pitches very open.
