If you're in the Caravan Club, we've found their insurance excellent.
We pay £15 per month for a 2003 caravan insured for £7500------------- Gail

We use caravan guard. Switched to them from C &CC who were much dearer and remain uncompetitive each year with their quote.

I had a bad experience with Caravan Guard. We paid our premiums year after year, but when it came to claim, they were total "Shysters".
We had such a bad experience, once the caravan had been repaired (storm damage) we sold it, and now have a Trailer Tent.
Steer clear, you get what you pay for.
Cheers

Towergate worked out cheapest for us, and with pretty good cover. I have never claimed, so can't comment on that side of things.

Having been with Tourer Select for over 10 years they doubled my premium this year to over £700. They said it was because I made a small claim last year.
Am now with Towergate for less than half the money and that was allowing for the claim I made.

Only thing i would say is if you have a new for old policy ensure the max insured price is weighted in your favour and takes increses in retail prices into consideration. Having claimed and lost out as van prices had gone up during the course of the poliye, my max sum insured did not buy a new van!!------------- Oh am loving the tin tent after campaining against it..........I was wrong.

I was with caravanguard for years and the renewals were always a good price until last year. They were putting it up £7.00 per month and I hadn't claimed. They were also charging me £5.00 each time I changed storage locations so I'd paid £15.00 in admin fees. I am now with the caravan club and its £20.00 a month and that covers me for the van to be stored anywhere in the UK so don't need to give a new address if I move its storage location.------------- Matt
