I would try the Caravan Club, Caravan Guard and Camping & Caravan club. They will offer you different options depending on security, storage and if you want european cover, etc so try and tailor the policy to what suits you. We are with the caravan club at the moment but will compare all 3 when the policy comes up for renewal.
I don't know about cost (and I know cost is often the deciding factor) but do consider how good the insurers are, or at least how good others' rate them, in the event of a claim. Caravan Club may not be the cheapest, but they handled our recent claim without quibble and the transaction from submitting our claim to resolution was very quick. There are some horror stories on the forum where things haven't gone as well.
Something we never want to think about, but wish we had when/if it arises.
Caravan & Camping Club, even paying the membership fee an the premium we still save compared to other quotes. under £100 for our 1999 abbey (slightly higher due to a claim last year otherwise it would have been cheaper.
I eventually got worn down by all the rubbish dealers in Caravan insurance. I eventually went to C&CC and paid £280 for £14,000 cover, new for old. That's £20 per £1,000 which is a fair rate I think, given the policy.
For me, the deciding factor was that I was actually dealing with a human being, they were civil and interested in my needs, and understood what was involved in covering a caravan. I felt I could trust them if I had a claim. Not all of them in the industry would pass that test.
Go for somewhere where you can read the policy before you sign up, and where they give you a fair deal on the cover. For example iirc CC policy had a clause in it that - despite you paying a premium for new for old cover - allowed them to downgrade the value of the caravan at their own discretion to "market value" when paying a claim.
Some on this forum have been caught like that before. Do a search and see what had been written.
