That looks idyllic, but why do they have to say "adults only due to deep water"? I would love to go somewhere like that with my 11 year old, the peace and quiet of having our own pitch with no noisy neighbours, bliss, but there is no way she is going to fall into a pond or lake at her age. I think they should just say, "brats not allowed, we don't want them!" Which I would accept and go somewhere else. It is a great idea though, and if there was someone prepared to accept a family on a pitch like this, it would make a great holiday destination for us.
Wow cool great hope it catches on ... really great for travelling one nighters ! so you could stop over the night in comfort ! dont think anyone would want one in Liverpool though - sorry guys or I would convert my garden !

Perhaps these kind of instances caused the owner to be cautious. Perhaps their insurance company had an exclusion clause in their policy relating to the pond.

Just down the road from me, will have a gander next time I'm passing. I suspect the water they refer to isn't a garden pond but a very deep large pool nearby.

Phil is quite right with the link that he posted and in my own view it makes perfect sense as to why the landowner would be concerned regarding child safety whilst staying on their site for one night. If this information wasn't declared you would guarantee that some irresponsible parent would merely complain stating that there was no information with reference of danger to young children. I think that in this instance the landowner is being quite responsible actually as many would determine that the income was more important. The landowner has a duty to fulfill and has to be held accountable for any mishaps that occur, but however hard they try you will always find some irresponsible adult willing to criticise their efforts to deliver any extra information merely for the safety of the family as it seems to be the case here. The more information provided surely has to be in the interest of everyone.
Agree with everything tango55 says. But, why challenge the site owner's "adults only" ruling in any case? 'YES' means yes, and 'NO' means no in any language. When we read the stipulations for a site, if we find something not acceptable we simply look for an alternative. Life is about relaxed living within the rules; not confrontation and all the raised BP that comes with it!
I know the owners, they are great and the house and gardens are beautiful, try it out. If your a steam engine fan your in heaven because a preservation society run a few engines from there base about a mile up the road. Also the White Lion at llynclys do a great pint and super food.
are these a one night only or can you stay longer, perhaps they dont want children on site so garden stays looking nice?(dont know whats happening but my post keeps disappearing) a good idea herby 59 but i think insurances might be costly anyone know?

I was talking to John the owner on Thursday and you can book to stay as long as you want. They also have two self contained chalets in the garden which are available to rent.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
