I am in the process of purchasing my 1st touring caravan.
Could some of you nice/experienced folk, give me some advice on what insurance I need.
I intend to travel Europe several times a year and also use it in the UK.
If I have read it correctly, the Caravan Club offers different cover,1 for Europe (breakdown Red Pennant) 1 for UK (breakdown Mayday) and Touring Caravan Insurance .
I am a little confused, so could someone recommend an ALL-IN-ONE to cover UK & Europe .
I intend to store the van in a CaSSOA (gold) secure site.
Any advise welcomed.
Andy.

Are you aware that there is caravan insurance Ie, same as home & contents,& breakdown/recovery cover? they are 2 different insurances & one will not cover the other/
Breakdown cover for caravans can be a minefield even when the supplier says the van is covered, which is why people use the main clubs breakdown cover.
I have ADAC & have Had Britannia cover both of which will cover you & the caravan home & abroad,BUT there are some instances where the caravan could possibly not be recovered.
RED Pennant or the C&CC cover will get your van home in all circumstances
