Welcome to Wray Valley Camping, located midway between picturesque Lustleigh and the charming town of Moretonhampstead. Nestled within 10 acres of fields and woods in Dartmoor National Park, our campsite offers a perfect blend of tranquillity and adventure with our own small river and direct access to the scenic Wray Valley Trail.
Choose from camping on our spacious pitches in our sloping hay meadow or intimate, secluded pitches in our woods by the river. New for 2025 are our converted stables eco-bothies which have been converted into cabins each with a log burner.
Facilities include a small shower and toilet block with kitchenette, a treebog compost loo, water tap, and washing up sink.
Two Unisex Hot Showers: There are two spacious shower rooms with plenty of hot water from the thermostatically controlled showers. Each shower room also has a flush toilet, wash basin with hot and cold water and a huge mirror. We hope you will find that the rooms are large enough to make getting the children clean really straightforward.
Separate Toilet: There is also a separate large toilet cubicle with a full size wash basin. So you wont have to wait for ages while someone takes a really long time in the shower.
Campers` Kitchen: In the same building there is a small camper`s kitchen with washing up sink, kettle and microwave for a quick breakfast if you are travelling light.
River and Campfires: Take delight in paddling and bathing in the nearby river, and relish the joy of BBQs and campfires while keeping your beloved pets under your watchful care.
Meals: Evening Meals and breakfasts are available if booked the night before. (Breakfast baps are available without pre-ordering.)
Experiences: We also run campfire cooking and woodfired pizza experiences. Check out the "see and do" section on our website.
Bar: We have a small bar where you can purchase locally produced drinks without leaving the site.
We welcome campers throughout the year, with out-of-season camping exclusive to Nearly Wild Camping Club members. We also cater to group bookings from organizations such as Duke of Edinburgh Award, Scouts, and Guides who possess their own camping license.
As qualified walking guides, we`re delighted to assist with planning walks or provide navigation training.
For those seeking a more luxurious experience, we also offer comfortable B&B accommodation in our Riverside B&B.
