Two miles from the beach, on the edge of the woods near Mevagissey, River Valley Holiday Park is a five-star haven for all holidaymakers. From our site you can join the Pentewan Trail and walk or cycle along a car free track to get to the village of Pentewan and its large sandy beach as well as the ancient woodland at Kings Wood.
We are a small family run park and welcome many return visitors to our immaculate, modern caravans (all under five years old) which are prepared to a high standard for guests. Beds are made on arrival and you will find milk in the fridge as well as tea bags and biscuits on the table.
There are forty five camping pitches in a flat sheltered meadow. These are cleared and mown between bookings.
Facilites include a heated indoor swimming pool, heated toilet block with plenty of hot water (at no extra charge) and a family bathroom. We have laundry facilities which includes washing machines, tumble driers and irons/ironing boards. There is a small games room with a pool table and glide hockey. Children can enjoy our play areas with a separate area for younger children and a zip line for those a little older.
We do not offer a clubhouse but hope that visitors will enjoy peace and tranquility during their stay.
Nearby Attractions
Cycle or walk from the park along the off road Pentewan Trail to the beach of Pentewan, Kings Wood, south coast footpath or Heligan Gardens. The Eden Project is just 15 minutes drive. The beautiful harbour village of Mevagissey is just 10 minutes away by car or accessible via the coastal path from Pentewan. Charlestown (filming location for Poldark) is also a short drive away.
We have a small shop at the entrance to the park for your daily needs. During high season we have weekly visiting fish and chip as well as a pizza van. Adjacent to the park you will find Treverick and Trays cafe and farm shop offering a range of tasty food and drinks. Two local pubs nearby both offer of which offer an excellent menu. Just across the road we have the Chicken Wing Shop and further along you will find MacDonalds, KFC, Costa and a small Tescos. Larger supermarkets within a 10 minute drive. We are on the main bus route and not far from St Austell train station from where you can get to many other areas of interest around Cornwall.
