Cae Du is a peaceful caravan and camping site set within 30 acres of beautiful countryside on the edge of the picturesque village of Beddgelert, in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
The site is ideally located for exploring Snowdonia while still being within easy reach of Beddgelert`s shops, cafes, pubs and local attractions. Set on the banks of the River Glaslyn, Cae Du offers a tranquil setting surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.
Cae Du is a large touring and camping site with over 100 touring and camping pitches, including a mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches. The site also benefits from two toilet blocks, washing-up areas, a dog walking area, and a family zone.
Our spacious pitches are positioned to take advantage of the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Guests can choose from:
Hardstanding pitches for caravans, campervans and motorhomes.
Grass pitches with electric or non-electric options.
Backpacker pitches for walkers and cyclists.
Clean facilities are available on site including toilets, hot showers, dishwashing areas and a laundry room.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead, and a dedicated dog walking area is provided.
The River Glaslyn runs through the site and fishing rights are available.
Cae Du is an excellent base for walkers, with many well-known trails accessible from the site or within a short drive. Popular local walks include Dinas Emrys, the Giant`s Chair and Moel Hebog, while the foot of Y Wyddfa (Snowdon) is only around a 5-minute drive away.
Whether you are touring Snowdonia by caravan, motorhome, tent or backpack, Cae Du provides a peaceful base to enjoy the stunning landscapes of North Wales.
