Our availability can be found here on UKCampsites and on Tne Cud Life website, but if you want to book a pitch you will need to fill in the booking form on our website - follow link on this listing to our website from top tab :-)
We are no longer with the camping and caravanning club so you don`t have to be a member anymore :-) Everything remains the same other than the ratio of Caravans and Motorhomes to tents which helps us stay open all year now.
We work hard to make The Cud Life Campsite as close to camping used to be when we were kids! We would describe our site as friendly and traditional (and on a bus route :)), with good old family values and respect. The campsite is quiet, with clean facilities and amazing views with lots of sky (as one visitor commented!)
We have 16 well spaced pitches which are a mixture of grass and hardstanding with or without hook up and really good 5G. A peaceful night is our specialty. The site is quiet at 10.30 to allow guests to get a good nights sleep and be prepared to explore North Yorkshire. We don`t take groups (unless the whole site is booked out) and no longer allow firepits to ensure everyone`s safety.
Our shower and toilet block is unisex with fully-enclosed shower pods and large changing room areas with each shower, making it ideal for families and individuals who don`t want to get their clothes or feet wet! There is a baby-changing unit, heated towel rails, non-slip flooring, wide doors, wash basins, soap dispensers, hand dryers, toilet rolls, shaver sockets, hairdryer and even GHD straighteners! (Is this camping or glamping?!) You can have the radio on too, to sing in the shower if you wish.
We are so close to the centre of Harrogate but guests often say they feel like they are in the middle of nowhere. You can walk to Harrogate in about 40 minutes or into the village of Killinghall in 10 minutes and Ripley 30 minutes. Or catch the Number 36 to Harrogate, Leeds or Ripon every 30 minutes (early to late) (8 minute walk to bus stop at end of our farm track). There is a Tesco local in the village open 7am to 11pm every day and supermarkets (Aldi and Tesco 1.5 miles away).
Having the public footpath going directly through the farm you can`t get closer to start a walk in either direction, our favourite being to to Ripley with its quaint shops, gallery, tea room, pub, castle etc.
Hay Cafe is on site with inside and outside dining, deck chairs, ice cream and take away. They also sell local sausage, bacon, fresh organic milk and free range eggs along with some local gifts.
You are guaranteed a genuine friendly welcome and support if you need it while you are here, but can be left in peace if you wish. We genuinely want you to enjoy your stay and will do our very best to ensure that you do and that you keep returning here.

Nearby Attractions
Too many attractions and activities to mention! We have people staying for two weeks who don`t get chance to do half of the things they wanted to do in this area.
Harrogate is just over half an hour walk or 5 minutes by car or bus (very frequent, no 36 bus every 30 minutes to Leeds, Harrogate and Ripon and no 24 bus directly to Harrogate in between) from the end of the lane, with major shops, restaurants, theatre, cinemas and bars.
RHS Harlow Carr, The Pump Rooms, Valley Gardens and The Turkish Baths.
The market towns of Knaresborough, Wetherby, Ripon, Pateley Bridge and Thirsk are within a short drive from the farm.
With the dales on our doorstep, incredible walks and drives through the beautiful countryside. There is just so much to see and do, check out Coldstones Cut for an unusual but free activity.
Harlow Carr, Newby Hall, Harewood House, Fountains Abbey, Studley Royal and Lightwater Valley theme park all within half an hours drive.
There are petting farms and one of our favourite attractions Nidderdale Llamas where you get to take a llama for a walk!

Once you get to the top of the hill you will see a sign that reads RUMBLE STRIPS, our lane is exactly where it reads SLOW across the road here. You will see the farmstay logo and big yellow Hay signs and there are reflectors.
