Description

Pitches: 24

You are going to love it here at Wolford Wood it is super relaxed. ‘Leave no trace` is the motto, set in 200 acres of meadows and trees, you`re sure to have no problem wanting to do your bit to protect the natural landscape…

The wood is Ancient and has coppice stands over 500 years old. That means man was felling trees here over 500 years ago! An Historic Site of Special Scientific Interest. A rare English deciduous woodland home to 2,501* different species of flowers, fungi and fauna.

This is a blissful place to switch off and just under a mile from the junction of three counties: Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.

Camping:

The camping pitches are not assigned and you can select where you want to pitch your tent in the meadow or shaded in the spinney.
We do not have electric hook-ups and do not allow caravans, camper-vans, motor-homes or roof-tents on site.
There`s no parking next to tent pitches here, but parking is available nearby and wheelbarrows for transporting your belongings.

Campers have access to hand basins, the toilet and shower block and outside kitchen. Toilet roll and hand soap is provided.
BBQ, Fire pits and logs are available to hire on-site.
Off ground fires and BBQs from home are welcome.

Cabins:

We have four cabins available to hire with various set ups. Firstly are The Glade cabins, sleeping up to 7 across 2 cabins in single beds and one double bed. There is also the option for an additional 15 campers next to the cabins. Woodmans cabin sleeps up to 6 in one king-size bed, two singles and a pull out double mattress. Avalon Cabins sleeps up to 5 across 2 cabins in one doubled bed and 3 singles - this is our only cabin with a large covered kitchen space - optional camping for an additional 40 guests. Finally, romantic Honeycomb Cabin sleeps 2 in a double bed.

Bedding, blankets and towels are provided. Our quirky accommodation offers a unique experience in a woodland setting.

Cabins come with their own private shower, covered, fully equipped kitchen and seating area perfect for lazing into the summer evenings with campfire and bird song.

The site:

In the Heart of but technically on the edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the setting makes an excellent base for exploring locally.

Or there`s 3 miles of tracks to explore and rag around in. Making dens with the kids, chatting with friends next to one of the fire pits (logs and large fire pits are available at the park from £6) or just getting lost on pretty paths and tracks.

Please note this is a genuinely wild wood and tracks are uneven and caution should be taken when walking on the land.

During ambles, bring a picnic along made up of bits and bobs from the deli in Moreton-in-Marsh or Shipston; off the ground BBQ`s are welcome.

There`s a public swimming pool and gym The Fire Service College (a three drive. ten minute cycle or 20 minute walk).

We regularly host events and activities on site for our visitors and guests to enjoy. Please see our website for details

Guests are also asked to take their rubbish home with them and no single-use plastic is to be brought into the woods.
