Pitches: 10
A quiet caravan and camp site that has been described by very satisfied guests as "how camp sits used to be". We have toilets and showers and although our facilities are basic, they are clean. Please take note also that we do not take tents larger than 4 man in size. The caravan site is located well off the main road along a private drive. Scenic views from the site of the gritstone escarpment of Curbar Edge. The old mill stream which used to power the water wheel of an 18th century cotton mill flows along the edge of the site. Ideally located for those who enjoy walking, a public footpath runs through the farm. A 5 miles walk along the footpath in one direction through fields, by the river and through a wood leads to Hathersage, said to be the burial place of the outlaw, Little John. In the other direction, the footpath leads to Baslow 2 miles away, again by the river and through a wood after which, a short walk through the village leads into Chatsworth Park. We do not take card payments or cheques. Payment is to be made in cash on arrival.
Nearby Attractions
From April 2021 Day Fishing Permits for fly fishing on our private stretch of the Derwent will be available for purchase by guests staying on the site. All those wishing to purchase a Day Ticket must provide sight of a current fishing licence. A maximum of two permits per day will be issued. Contact for further details

Price Guide - Updated April 2026
I currently have one seasonal pitch available for 2026. The cost is £1300 per year. This also allows the caravan to be left on site during the closed season. The price per night for touring pitches depends on the size of the unit, the number of occupants and whether electric hook up is required. Please enquire for further details. I do not take units with children under 5 years of age.

Owner Directions
Approaching From the East- From Baslow, proceed west along the A623 for approximately 2 miles. Turn right immediately before the "Bridge Inn". Follow the road round to the left and over the old bridge. Immediately over it you will see a sign pointing right down a lane and marked "Calver Mill". Turn into the lane and Stocking Farm is at the end of the lane.
Approaching from the West
From Calver Crossroads proceed east for about 1/2 mile. Look for "The Derbyshire Craft Centre" on your left and then take the first left. Follow the road round to the right and immediately you will see a sign pointing left down a lane and marked "Calver Mill". Turn into the lane and Stocking Farm is at the end of the lane.
