Elan Oaks nestles in the heart of Wales`s best kept secret, the Elan Valley "Lakeland of Wales". Located in Rhayader, Powys, Wales, the campsite offers full modern facilities in a stunning setting, from which to explore the natural beauty of Mid Wales.
Elan Oaks offers spacious pitches for touring caravans. All the hard standing pitches, which are open all the year round have 10 Amp electric, personal water supply, grey waste, satellite and Freeview connection, Ethernet and WiFi. Our XL pitches hard standing include parking for 1 car.
Our CL (Llanfadog Fields), has room for six units, all with 10amp electric hook-up, TV and satellite.
New in 2023, we now offer fully serviced Grass Pitches in addition to our existing camping field.
Finally The Camping Field is perfect for relaxing and accommodates all shapes and sizes of tent.
All pitches have access to our brand new, modern shower block which has toilets, showers and wash basins. There is also a Washing-Up Room with fridge freezer for your use, a Laundry Room equipped with washing machines and driers and finally a Bike/Dog wash Area.
We also have a soon-to-open shop on site that will provide a wider range of groceries, camping supplies, and other essentials.
Pets are welcome at Elan Oaks. There are plenty of fantastic walks surrounding the campsite which will delight you and your dog!
Surrounded by dramatic heather clad mountain and bordered by the picturesque bolder strewn river Elan, the campsite comes complete with fishing.Fishing permits can be purchased in Rhayader for the day or season.
Adjacent to the site is a 24 mile scenic cycle trail around the lakes or in the other direction, you`ll find Rhayader,a quaint small welsh town with shops, cafes, pubs and a Leisure Centre.
Whether you are a bird watcher, rambler, mountain biker or simply have a love of nature, this is the place for you.
