The Fishponds is an ADULT-ONLY campsite with 4 pitches all with an EHU.
It is situated in the village of Colwall on the Herefordshire / Worcestershire border in an AONB looking up to the Malvern Hills, a walkers paradise.
Public footpaths outside the gate. Farming area so please keep dogs on a lead.
There are 3 well stocked Fishing pools on-site. Main pool now leased by Stroud Angling club who allow on-site campers to fish and they give me 5 FREE FISHING PASSES daily.
The large pool is mainly carp with other species and 2 smaller pools . 1 of silvers. The pools are fresh water fed. Sorry no bait sold on-site. 1-2 times/ month, usually Sundays a club match is on the main pool but caravaners can fish on the other pools and return to the main pool after weigh-in 3pm.
Annual or day licence required even on these private pools but the site owners or club do not check them. It is the job of EA.
There is no night fishing or staying overnight by the poolside. At dusk back to the campsite. This is the club`s rules.
Sorry NO dogs around the pool with you at ALL times! Rubbish to be taken back with you to the campsite facilities.
The village has a general store, pub and British Legion all welcome. Cafe Morso, Park Hotel with lovely back garden , PO, butcher, Thai Rama eat in or take away ( not Mondays). Bus and rail station to Great Malvern or Worcester city and its cathedral or the other way to Ledbury, Herefordshire a market town or Hereford city with the Cathedral housing the Mappa Mundi.
The Fishponds Touring Site is based just on the outskirts of Colwall village and our site looks up to the Malvern hills.
Our small tranquil site is for tents, camper vans, touring caravans and motorhomes. Ihas 4 pitches each all of which are on level ground with electric hook-up.
A purpose built Siberian larch building offers modern toilet and shower facilities for its guests, there are 3 toilets and 2 showers and a washing-up area .
Quiet , well behaved dogs welcome, although they must be kept on a lead as livestock can be in the fields nearby.
The Fishponds is located within natural surroundings and offer wonderful natural wildlife, including: Kingfishers, Nuthatch, Woodpeckers, Wagtails, Owls, Dragonflies and many varieties of butterflies. Dark skies.
Small walking groups, painting groups welcome .

*The Malvern Hills. (parking charges apply) *The 3 Counties Show-ground, Malvern, 15 minutes drive away. Many varied events throughout the year.
The RHS Malvern Spring Show (May) Tv gardening Greats guest speakers. The Royal 3 Counties Show (June). Autumn show (September). Marquee giant veg etc competitions. Dog show, flea market + vintage fair several dates, caravan + camping show etc etc.
Eastnor Castle 15 minutes drive. Or in Eastnor a deer park + free lakeside walk+ cafe+ free parking inside/outside the railings. * sometimes closed for other events ‘LakeFest‘ in August etc.
Annual summer Poetry festival, Ledbury. Bands in the Park (free) most Sundays in Priory Park behind Malvern Theatre- open for drinks etc. Bring an outdoor chair! Sir Edward Elgar birthplace. The Firs , Lower Broadheath , Worcs. And his grave St Wulstans Catholic Church Malvern Wells.
Morgan Motor museum. Booking may be reqd.
*The National Trust ( NT) houses + gardens : Croft Castle +Parklands/ Berrington Hall close together 15 minutes between them.
Croome Court NT 15 miles away.
Lovely Hampton Gardens HR6 0PN 34 minutes drive , entry fee, and nearby Queenswood a lovely woodland walk. ( parking charges). Dogs allowed to both.
We are in Mill Lane ,Old Colwall WR13 6HE. Large vehicles, best to come in the top end Mill Ln, past the village hall + continue on until you get to the BlUE service sign of St. James the Great Church.
Opposite the Blue church sign take the lane on your right passing my neighbours brick barn conversion and take the second turning left into the Fishponds Caravan site.
