Top spots for touring a little further on include Offa`s Dyke, 10 minutes drive away, for ambles along the ancient path on the edge of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Pup wagging his or her tail at the thought of walkies? Theyll be mighty pleased to scamper around the secure dog walk on our off-lead area at this level site, or perhaps among the hills at the Brecon Beacons National Park 35 minutes to the south. The park also has a special dog-wash setup for rinsing all the mud off afterwards; an amenities block has free hot showers for humans to freshen up in too.
While your four-legged friend recovers from all the excitement, snatch some time to yourself in Presteigne, the traditional Welsh market town a five-minute drive away with its pubs, restaurants, takeaways, cafes, shops and acclaimed deli.

Nearby Attractions
Presteigne is a traditional Welsh market town with a wonderful old-world charm. It`s just a mile from the park and has grocery stores, newsagents, a choice of pubs, cafes, restaurants and take aways. The delicatessen is rated as one of the best in Wales. Historically there`s the Judges Lodgings - where you can get the full Victorian courthouse and jail experience!
Knighton has the nearest rail link, about six miles away.
Leominster, Hereford and Ludlow are all within a 45 minute drive.
The surrounding area has walks, including the Offa Dykes path, castles, hill forts and evidence of Roman occupation.
