We are a small campsite with 20 EHU fixed grass pitches and space for approximately 15 units without access electric on an adjacent field. We are well located on the outskirts of the picturesque harbour village of Solva., near to St Davids. We are family-friendly and dog-friendly. We`re surrounded by countryside, close to the coast and we benefit from wonderful sunsets.
All 20 EHU pitches are suitable for tents, tourers and motorhomes as is the adjacent field for those who dont need electric hook up, and dont mind being a little further from the facilities. All pitches are a generous 8 metres wide (minimum). The ground is well maintained and flat with good drainage. The short (200m) access road off the A487 is single track but with passing places.
Separate male and female washrooms with showers, washbasins and toilets/urinals are located next to reception and beside the EHU field. Key features include unlimited hot water, 8.5 kW Electric showers, hand dryers, sensor lighting after dusk, gas central heating. There is a hairdryer in the female washrooms.
We have five water collection points and a grey waste water/chemical waste disposal. We do not have a drive-over motorhome service point for grey waste water. We also have a laundry and washing-up area attached the facilities block. The washing machine and tumble dryer are coin operated. There is a kettle for coast path walkers travelling with limited equipment. There is also a freezer for ice packs.
There is plenty of space in the centre of the field where children may play soft ball games under supervision. We also have free WIFI.
We`re a stones throw (800m) from the Pembrokeshire National Park coastal path along a bridleway, and the small coves of Porth-y-Rhaw and Aber Llong. Solva is within walking distance, along a farm/country lane (10-20 minutes to Upper and Lower Solva respectively), or take the coastal path for a longer, scenic stroll.
Solva Harbour at high tide is great for crabbing, kayaking, paddleboarding etc or simply watching the fishing boats and yachts go by. At low tide it allows for walking and exploring the harbour bed or bathing/bodyboarding at the beach at the harbour mouth. At both high and low tide, there is a beach across the Gribin in Solva called Gwadn.
We are only 2 miles from the Cathedral City of St Davids and a short drive away from many of the best beaches in Pembrokeshire such as Caerfai Bay (2 miles), Whitesands Bay (5 miles) and Newgale Sands (4 miles).
There is plenty of good dog-walking nearby and we`re also on a bridleway which leads to National Cycle Route 4 within a couple of minutes. We do not have a dedicated dog exercise area on site but there are plenty of private lanes and public paths leading from the campsite. St David`s old airfield is 5 minutes away (350m) along a bridleway and this provides a great area for dog walking.
Llanungar Caravan and Camping also has 80 static pitches for holiday homes, all privately-owned. We do not allow sub-letting so it is a quiet park. The static park and campsite are separated and on neighbouring fields.
