Crabbs Bluntshay is a small working farm with beef animals, suckler cows, sheep and geese, three small orchards, pigs and hens and ducks.
We have a cabin with 3 toilets, 2 showers, 2 hand basins and a kitchen area for washing up. Plus another unit with toilet, hand basin and shower, and another kitchen area.
Mains water is available from a tap on the campsite
The camping site is flat with most of the area sheltered. We have toilet disposal facilities in the field
There are 8 electrical hookups. 5 for hard topped units, and 3 for soft topped units
There is a walk available around the farm showing natural and historical features which can be done either with the aid of a map, or a guided tour can be given when convenient. The River Char runs through the farm. There are other walks in the vicinity
CAMPSITE FACILITIES
Cabin has - 3 toilets, 2 showers, 3 hand basins, a kitchen area for washing up, a fridge, a freezer and a tourist information centre. Shower tokens are 50p The unit at the side of the farm house has 1 toilet, 1 shower and 1 hand basin The site has 7 hard standings and 11 electrical hookups, and space for tents. During the summer holidays, another field is opened up with 3 more hook ups and space for numerous tents and caravans etc. There is a washing line Mains water is on site, along with toilet disposal facilities Fire pits are available on request, as is logs Dogs are welcome Free WiFi Orchard walk for adults and dogs alike Check in and out times - 12 noon
We are open every day of the year. Crabbs Bluntshay is a working farm so there are animals and poultry to enjoy during your stay.
The farm is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Marshwood Vale
There are two local public houses nearby. The Shave Cross Inn, only a short walk from the farm, is 13th century and serves both traditional English and Caribbean food. It has an attractive garden and original features inside the pub. The Five Bells Inn in the opposite direction has a good selection of food.

The Jurassic Coast namely, West Bay and Charmouth, is less than 8 miles away, with historic Lyme Regis only 12 miles away. Charmouth is a good beach for children and fossil hunting
Bridport is the nearest country town for general shopping with 5 supermarkets and 2 petrol stations, and a mixture of smaller utility shops including Boots and a Post Office. Yeovil and Exeter, for more extensive shopping, are within easy driving distance, with Yeovil being approximately 24 miles and Exeter 35 miles away.
Marshwood, 3 miles away, has a village store and newsagents

From Dorchester follow the A35 to Bridport. Go through the town and take the B3162 for 1.5 miles, turning left at the Dottery crossroads for Broadoak and the Shave Cross Inn (a distance of 3.5 miles). At the pub turn left down the Whitchurch road and continue for a 1/3 mile to the first farmhouse on the left.
