At the Ullswater Holiday Park, we specialise in a friendly welcome, practical family facilities and a range of accommodation to suit all needs.
Our family has been here since 1958 and our park has plenty of space combining a sheltered position beneath Cumbrian fells with excellent access to the nearby shores and waters of Ullswater.
We offer a great selection of Touring and Tent pitches at Ullswater Holiday Park. Our rural setting gives plenty of space (including parking alongside pitches) as well as woodland shelter and screening.
We also have all weather grass pitches available which are great for those rainy days.
The facilities available to visitors include:

Our self-service general store has everything you are likely to need during your stay - from groceries, camping equipment and kitchen necessities to newspapers, games and souvenirs.
Our coffee shop offers local Farrers coffee, tea, milkshakes and cold drinks along with a selection of cakes, biscuits and ice-creams. There is FREE WiFi in the coffee shop.
We also have a kids games room which opens at the same time as the bar & lounge.
Ullswater Chippy - Based at Ullswater Holiday Park, we are a small but perfectly formed little chippy
One of our Park`s best-loved features is Fairfield Marine, only a mile from our other accommodation and offers full access to Ullswater. For boat owners, there are swinging moorings and jetty space tie-ups as well as a concrete slipway for launching, hot shower facilities and space for trailer parking
We are the perfect site for a family holiday as we are an ideal base for exploring the Lake District or just calling in on your journey to or from Scotland.
Whether you are planning a relaxing holiday or an adventure packed one, our park is the perfect base to do so.
Situated just one mile up from the Lake our Park is an ideal place to bring the children and their inflatables for a fun filled holiday on the Lake.
Or if you prefer hiking and walking, the Ullswater way goes straight through the middle of our Park meaning you can easily walk to Aira force or Pooley Bridge.
The Park backs on to the fells, with Little Mell Fell and Great Mell Fell behind us and the High Street Ridge and Howtown across the lake. These fells offer walkers plenty of choice, from strenuous climbs to lakeside rambles, and Wainwright`s Northern and Eastern Fells are just a short drive away.
There are also plenty of facilities locally for adventures such as horse riding, GPS navigation training and quad bike trekking as well as gentler pursuits like golf, tennis and bowls.
Nearby Attractions
Ullswater is one of the northern lakes of Cumbria and widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and varied. It extends in three reaches for a total of nine miles, from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding, and the scenery changes from gentle river valley, woods and pastures in the north to the dramatic mountain scenery of Kirkstone Pass in the south.
For walkers, cyclists and tourists, Ullswater Holiday Park is well placed for exploring the Lake District National Park and most of Cumbria.

The regular Ullswater Steamers make access to other points on the lake much easier. These boats carry passengers between Glenridding, Pooley Bridge and Howtown throughout the year and the service opens up even more walks as well as some of the best views of the Lake. The staff in local outdoor shops and information centres are always happy to advise on equipment, hill weather and suitable routes for all abilities - many businesses in the valley are run by members of our local Patterdale Mountain Rescue team.

Owner Directions
Coming from the M6 towards Penrith take Junction 40 (A66), turn west for Keswick then take A592 to Ullswater.
Reach lakeside road after 5 miles, turn right at the junction.
After 1 mile you will pass The Brackenrigg Inn on your right, continue down the road for half a mile, turn right at the junction (with postbox) signpost says Ullswater Holiday Park on brown camping sign.
Our site is half a mile up the road on the right.
