Laneside Caravan Park is at the heart of The Peak District and is open for Caravans, Motorvans & Tents.

With a well stocked shop on site, this stunning riverside park is only a 5 min walk to the village of Hope with 3 pubs, Indian restaurant & takeaway plus 7 day til 10pm Spar / Newsagents / Post Office, Butchers and Delicatessen.

We take pride in maintaining high standard of housekeeping; grounds are well tended and the grass is kept short.

The ambience is pleasant and sheltered with mature trees, hedges and shrubs. Post & rail fences and hedges separate the main pitching areas.

We welcome families and quiet couples and don`t accept single-sex groups or unaccompanied teenagers. We don`t have a club or disco and, as a condition of camping, ask that people make no noise after 10:30pm.

We offer a variety of pitches to suit your needs:

Fully Serviced Pitches: 20 all-weather pitches equipped with electric, water, and grey waste disposal. Hard Standing Electric Pitches: 28 pitches suitable for caravans and motorhomes. Grass Electric Pitches: 40 pitches available for caravans, campervans, or tents.

The pitches are well marked out and every pitch backs up to a post & rail fence and / or a hedgerow - mostly beech and hawthorn.

All electric pitches provide a 12 to 16 amp supply. Please ensure that all appliances used are camping-specific to prevent electrical issues. We also have a separate adult-only field with both hard standing and grass electric pitches for those seeking a quieter experience

Toilets & Showers

Our toilet and shower facilities are highly praised by customers, often compared to top European sites for cleanliness. We offer large, heated shower blocks with free power showers and spacious family/disabled showers.

Modern amenities include individual changing areas, hair dryers, mirrors, and vanity tops. Ladies` toilets feature extra hair dryers and pay plugs for straighteners.

Private vanity cubicles with sinks and mirrors are available, alongside a disabled shower and loo with RADAR key access. Keys can be obtained from the office if needed.

Laundry & Information Room

The Laundry & Information room has two stack washer and dryers, plenty of local information, and a second-hand charity book stall, perfect for browsing.

Just across from our amenity block is a sheltered sink area with 8 sinks for washing your pots, offering convenience in all weather.

We also have some lower sinks for children or wheelchair users, ensuring everyone`s needs are considered while making washing up easier for little ones and those with limited mobility.

Nearby Attractions

"The Peak District" is loosely used. We`re at the centre of The Peak Conservation Area - as defined on O.S. Maps - with the best walking.

We are on the valley floor, surrounded by hills.

Castleton, with its caverns and 11th Century castle, is two miles away - or a pleasant half-hour riverside walk.

Around us are the nicest / most historical towns & villages in Derbyshire - Hathersage, with Swimming Pool and Tennis Courts is a 5 minute drive, Chatsworth and Historic Eyam are 15 minutes away whilst Bakewell and Buxton are 20 - 25 minutes.

Above all, is the myriad footpaths straight from the Park.

If coming from the M1 and the east go via Hathersage where the A625 changes to the A6187 & follow signs to Hope. 3½ miles later look out for Travellers Rest pub RH side of road. We are 500 meters after this (100 meters AFTER the RH turning for Hope village station) on the LHS of the road. Signs for Laneside are on the RHS directing you LEFT.
