Great sight, great location next to the river, pitches are large and well spaced, with new hard standings.
Toilets and showers are clean and warm, also a laundry.
Plenty to do in the area, lots of walks or a stroll into the village.
The deli is brilliant and can recommend the curry cabin eat in or take away. You can take your own wine if you eat in. Spar next door can accommodate this.
Plenty of pubs walkable who all serve food.
Overall I personally love this site.
The wardens are friendly and the sight well maintained and it improves every year.

We have used the site before and thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Was a minimum or two nights but they went the extra mile to do just the one.
Location was good with only a short walk to the village.
Check in was easy and will definitely return when we are next in the area.

Booked on a midweek September offer which was excellent value for money.
The site is in a fantastic location for walking and close to the train station with regular services to castleton and Edale, or Hathersage and Grindleford in the other direction.
The site is immaculate and the showers are as good as some hotels I have stayed in.
A lot of thought has gone into providing a top class service at this site but the road and train line was a massive problem for us.
We were on a grass pitch about 4 rows in from the road and the road noise was constant from about 6am to 7pm with very noisy motorbikes and a lot of heavy goods vehicles as well as cars.
There is also a huge cement works nearby with their own trainline and the trains run through the night. This spoiled what would have been a fantastic stay and I know the site owners cant do anything about it, but we would think twice about going back unfortunately.
If you don't mind the noise it's a great option for visiting the area.

Quite a novice at this camping malarkey and at 68 need to be at a camp that goes that extra mile if you need them. Well Laneside didn't disappoint.
Reception staff were helpful took me to my pitch and suggested the best way to face. Then my pump wasn't working so again the Laneside angels helped out along with fellow campers.
The facilities are great, dish washing bank, re-cycling bins, laundry with ironing board, Brand new shower block is fantastic, modern, extremely clean and well thought out.
Shop is quite comprehensive - only 15 min walk to village Spar if you need other groceries. There is a fish and chip van that visits on a Friday and a breakfast butty bar at the weekends.
The site is immaculate, really well maintained, the pitches are flat and electric hook up is close you only need a short hook up cable (tents)
Staff are lovely - lots of security which is not intrusive. 10 star rating from me doesn't get better than this - fabulous walks and Edale is just down the road.

Lovely welcome from Karen on arrival. Really nice site with excellent facilities, all really clean and cared for.
5 minutes walk into Hope where there's a cracking farm shop (pork pie is a must!) And lots of cafes, a really well stocked convenience shop and a couple of nice pubs.
We used the Woodroffe Arms. Again a lovely welcome from Pauline and Colin. Also, we met Haggis, one of the maintenance staff from the Laneside Caravan Park. Great chat with him and you can tell he loves his job.
All in all, don't hesitate.
If I could find one tiny thing that was a bit of a niggle, it's pretty close to the main road, so think about that when booking your plot. Very dog friendly. Tidy. Happy days.

This was our first visit (May bank holiday)to this site and also our first time visiting the Peak District (we usually go down south). We have a tourer and stayed on a hard standing pitch.
The site was lovely from the pitches to the facilities and is kept very tidy. As well as the original toilet and shower block, there is also a new shower/toilet block which is very nice and modern. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful.
There is a on site shop/reception which caters for all the basics essentials, and there is a local co-op in Hope village which is only a 5 min walk unless you stop off at the pub on the way.
We would definitely recommend, and we will be returning soon.
As regards to the local area, this is also stunning with beautiful walks and Fantastic views with plenty of places to visit.

Lovely clean site with excellent facilities.
Came here with a group of friends from our beagle group. From arriving we were made to feel welcome, as were our dogs. The new shower block is fab, very clean with really good showers, well thought out.
Excellent location with lovely walks straight from camp.
We had a great weekend, nothing at all to complain about, we will return, and would definitely recommend to others.
